Chipmunk, one of the success stories for English music in 2009, is getting 2010 off to a flying start, with the releasing of a formerly not available song, Till You Were Gone featuring Esme Denters moving on from his first UK title tour in Feb 2010, Chipmunk will be releasing a platinum version of his first album, I’m Chipmunk, on May third 2010, 2 weeks after Till You Were Gone, on Apr 19th 2010.Click here to watch his new video.

The latest version of the album will include another 3 new songs.

“The new songs give folks an understanding to where I am from, my expansion and just about my current state of mind, ” announces Chipmunk. Till You Were Gone has all of the elements that helped Chipmunk take off so fast to begin with - it’s quality pop with a killer chorus, and Chip’s unique personality and rhymes to the front. But in spite of its uptempo vibe, Till You Were Gone is a song of regret, with Chipmunk lamenting that he ‘didn’t know how much I’d miss ya / I screwed up the ideal picture. ‘ “I had a version of Till You Were Gone and was waiting for the right voice to fit the demo, ” explains Chipmunk. ” I have always been hot for Esmee’s vocals and made a decision to hit her on Twitter on the off chance and she answered back, flew to Britain and the rest is history. ” Chipmunk’s been getting out of the studio and close up and personal with his fans on a lot of live dates round the UK. His first title tour round the UK gave fans an opportunity to see the Chipmunk live experience. The tour saw a strong line up of developing talent in support starting from Tinie Tempah to Daisy Dares You. Those that missed him will be able to catch Chipmunk live in the summer when he hits the holidays.
