Profitable Poker Faces

Filed under: Casino Stuff, Fun, Games + Cheats — admin @ 10:14 am

The expression “poker face” does refer to a real phenomenon. Go into any poker room, and look around. What you will see are many expressionless faces. Many are even frozen into very serious, grim countenances that never change.

When playing poker face-to-face in a live room, one’s expression can give off lots of clues. Newcomers might not realize they have make a small smile when Aces come their way, and that a quick grimace clouds their face when a raise is made ahead of them. Skilled experienced players can often pick up on these cues. That’s why seasoned players often adapt that frozen face look.

However, keep in mind that poker is a social game too. There will always be a few people at the online poker table who are there for fun. They want to engage in banter, swap stories and enjoy some laughs. These types of players are often the weakest too and the place to look for profit opportunities. How do you encourage them to give you their money? With a friendly poker face! Listen to their chit chat for clues about whether they’re inclined to be conservative or risk takers. Smile at their quips and encourage bad calls with remarks like, “oh, that was unlucky” or “great hand” when they do hit the long short draw.

Who is the casual player more likely to bet and call at the table? The grizzled, stoney-faced veteran, or the friendly, smiling player? Don’t scare off weak players, but instead encourage them with friendly interaction and a happy face.

Orange Wins YouGov Mobile Broadband Poll Third Time

Orange has emerged as the top mobile broadband provider in the UK, according to the results of an independent poll. The latest YouGov survey saw the company scoring well in areas like customer service, upload speeds, easy usage, and the highly prized ‘reliability’ factor.

Orange was voted the leader in nine out of 15 categories in the YouGov Dongle Tracker survey, which is conducted every quarter. The report, which collects customer feedback on mobile broadband providers across various parameters such as quality of service, network coverage and value for money, saw Orange making it to the top for the third consecutive time. The company had also topped the poll last October and August.

Responding to the best provider ranking, Asif Aziz, Director of Broadband and Home, Orange UK expressed happiness and satisfaction at the company retaining the top position in Britain. He said Orange was proud of the accomplishment. According to Aziz, the best provider accolade was a result of Orange’s complete commitment to providing better network quality and excellent customer service. He added that the company would capitalize on the gains of the poll and offer even better products and services (see broadband dongle pay as you go) to its customers so that they experience high quality service.

Currently, Orange claims to be Britain’s largest 3G network, covering 93 per cent of the population. However, the provider seems to be gearing up to improve its services even more to capture a wider customer base.
