Doyle Brunson’s 10-Two

Among all the famous hands with famous names in online poker, perhaps the most notorious and oft quoted is Doyle Brunson’s ten deuce, which he famously ended up holding both times when he won the main event of the World Series of Poker twice back to back. Most often, in the telling of these hands, people will talk about the 10-2 as if it is a hand Brunson selected in a normal sized ring game and pushed through with, whereas in truth the opposite is most likely. In each instance of Doyle’s win with the 10-2, he came from behind against his opponents’ larger holding to win at this poker online match.

This misconstruing of a true legend’s use of a garbage hand often gets applied out of context by people looking to get lucky in the use of their poker hands, and can lead to disastrous results when overdone. Though Brunson has been seen on televised poker playing the hand out of his own personal fondness for it, clearly the hand isn’t one you’d ever want to put your life at risk with, particularly in a ring game. Playing hands out of superstition or out of funny traditions such as the mere fact that it has a name is a sketchy proposition at best, and should be remembered in context, and used only in coordination with other situational faculties such as position, aggression, and well timed reads.

One of the most pivotal facets of any online business is how do I come through in the major search engines, e.g Google and Yahoo. How do I get my site to rank substantially in Google?

One of the most fundamental aspects in doing better in the search engines (assuming the fundamental principle like great content are already in place) is earning links for your website. You can achieve this a few different ways, some looked at positively by the serps and some not so favorably.

A honest ways, that the search engines think is passable is link building with articles.

Basically this calls for composing a genuine article, preferably around something from your area of expertise, and then posting it to a free article directory.

You really should not underrate the seriousness of link building. If there is one signal that takes precedence to the search engines, on the whole, it is links. Fine, there are truck loads of other signals, e.g the domain name, but you are kidding if you imagine you are going to be listed well, and easily heard, if you do not cause any links.

Building links with articles is easy. It is something the search engines say is okay. And, it adds value to the web, by providing valuable content that might be interesting or useful to users. The real question is what are you waiting for?
